RICHMOND, VA — September 2023 Synergy Technical, a leading technology consulting firm, is proud to announce a transformative partnership with Microsoft Nonprofit Tech Acceleration for Black and African American Communities and TSI (Tech for Social Impact) to enhance its commitment to supporting non-profit organizations and under-served communities. Synergy Technical’s journey in community engagement began several years ago, inspired by the company’s core mission of “we do good work.” This company mission extends beyond the realm of technical solutions, also emphasizing the importance of making a positive impact in the communities where they operate.

Thanks to Synergy Technical’s strong partnership with Microsoft Nonprofit Tech Acceleration for Black and African American Communities and TSI, the company has been able to expand its community outreach efforts, delivering even more impactful outcomes than before. “We are thrilled about our partnership with Microsoft's nonprofit groups,” said Rohana Meade, President at Synergy Technical. “This collaboration aligns perfectly with our core mission of ‘we do good work,’ and it allows us to broaden our reach and deepen our impact in the community.”

In July 2023, Synergy Technical acted as the technical partner for the Microsoft RVA Family STEAM Expo, held at RRHA’s Calhoun Center. This event aimed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for STEAM disciplines among children and their families. It provided a platform for attendees to engage in hands-on activities, workshops, and demonstrations that explored various aspects of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Synergy Technical team members set up the technology for and provided onsite support for this event and were proud to be a part of a day of discovery, learning, and family bonding. “Just to see so many people in the community come together to learn and play really made an outstanding impact on me,” said Levi Stockard, Head of Community Outreach at Synergy Technical. “It was so refreshing to be involved in such an amazing event, and I thank Microsoft for giving us the opportunity to be a part of STEAM Day."

Looking ahead, Synergy Technical is excited to further their outreach program with upcoming events such as the 2023 Machine Learning & AI Program for RPS Students. This event includes big data concepts, such as machine learning and AI, for 9th-12th grade students at Richmond Public Schools.
